Where cold outreach goes to die. Back from the dead.
Real angry replies, unhinged unsubscribe requests, and the worst cold calls ever recorded — submitted anonymously. 13.7K followers waiting since ~2021. The plan: relaunch on the audience we already have, then widen.
13.7K followersdormant since ~2021unsub.show — DOMAIN SECUREDstandalone brand (Ross rule)
RE:
The five calls
Domain secured: unsub.show — bought 2026-08-13, personal Spaceship account, privacy on, expires Aug 2027. Shorter than the original, and "unsub" is literal SDR slang.
Don't spread thin. IG-only week 1. LinkedIn is the second channel, not Reddit — sales people live there and share this stuff natively. Subreddit + YouTube wait until there's traffic to feed them.
The backlog is the relaunch. Years of unread submissions in the inbox = weeks of content already sourced. Triage first, film nothing.
Claude builds the reel machine. Waveform + auto-subtitles + redaction template, reusable per call. No SaaS subscription needed for v1.
The award is the growth loop. "Unsubscriber of the Month" certificate designed to be posted on LinkedIn — winners advertise the page for free.
RE:
Brand refresh — keep the name, sharpen the skin
The "u." mark and lowercase "unsubscribe." wordmark stay — they have equity and they're already the handle everywhere. Refresh, don't replace.
Skin: email-UI aesthetic — reply chips, notification badges, "1 new message", subject-line typography. Alarm-red on off-white/black.
Voice: deadpan corporate-polite over unhinged content. Captions read like HR memos about a crime scene.
Recognition: every reel uses one frame — handle top, "CALL #047" counter, waveform center, karaoke subtitles bottom. Identifiable in the first half-second of scroll.
Next step: generate the brand kit (logo refresh, reel frame, story templates) — paid generation, so full prompts shown for approval first.

Channels — phased, not all at once
Phase
When
What
Why this order
01
Week 1
Instagram only — daily reels from the backlog
Prove cadence before spreading thin. The 13.7K are the asset.
02
Week 2–3
LinkedIn page + submission form live
Highest-fit second channel; SDRs share sales humor natively, and award winners post their certificates themselves.
03
Week 3–4
Website on unsubscribe.show — form, leaderboard, best-of
Cloudflare Pages, roughly free to run.
04
Month 2
Subreddit + YouTube (Shorts repurpose)
A subreddit before there's traffic is an empty room — it hurts more than it helps.
RE:
The submission machine
Intake: IG DM + email + (week 2) website form → one tracker: id, type (call / voicemail / screenshot / text), source, anonymous?, status (new → shortlisted → produced → posted), post URL, votes.
Processing — built in-house, no SaaS:
make_reel.py: audio in → 9:16 MP4 out. Waveform render + Whisper auto-subtitles + brand frame + call counter. Long calls clipped to the punchline, cuts approved by you.
Redaction pass: names, numbers, and emails bleeped in audio and blurred in screenshots; optional voice pitch-shift for the extra-paranoid.
Level 2 (once cadence holds): two-tile "virtual call" layout, animated captions, series intros. Fallback if we ever want fancier: Headliner / Submagic (web-based, Windows-fine).
Pinned everywhere we ask for submissions
"100% anonymous. We strip names, numbers, and voices on request. Nobody will know it's you — not your prospect, not your boss."
RE:
Leaderboard + the award
Leaderboard v1: monthly top posts ranked by IG likes, rendered on the website. Zero engineering to start.
"Unsubscriber of the Month" — free tier: a designed certificate (PDF/PNG) built to look great posted on LinkedIn. Winners advertising the page is the whole point.
Physical tier: engraved desk nameplate or small trophy — "OFFICIAL UNSUBSCRIBER." Price checked at order time; target cheap enough to ship monthly.
RE:
Sourcing calls
The email backlog first — triage into the tracker, shortlist the top 20. Relaunch post = a greatest-hit plus "we read every one of these. we're back."
The audience — every post ends with the submission CTA.
Never OpenBorder reply data. OB stays fully out of this brand — Ross's standalone rule, plus employer risk. Move intake to hello@unsub.show once the domain is live (corporatebro.com address keeps forwarding during transition, with Ross's ok).
RE:
Week 1, day by day
DAY 1
Buy the domain. Export the backlog.
Claude triages every old submission into the tracker → shortlist top 20.
DAY 2
Lock the brand refresh.
Mock the reel frame; you approve the look before anything is produced.
DAY 3
Build make_reel.py. Produce 3 test reels.
Pick the winner look from the three.
DAY 4
Batch-produce.
10 reels + 5 screenshot posts queued.
DAY 5
Relaunch post. Daily cadence starts.
1 post/day, best hour per IG insights.
DAY 6–7
Submission highlight + anonymity pin.
Story highlight on how to submit; LinkedIn page drafted for week 2.
Metrics that matter (weeks 1–4): posting streak · submissions/week · saves + shares per post · follower delta. Nothing else yet.
RE:
Needs your call
Domain — DONE. unsub.show bought Aug 13, Spaceship, privacy on, auto-renew on.
Backlog access — export the submission inbox (or grant access) so triage can start.
Brand-kit generation go — paid gen; full prompts will be shown for approval before anything runs.
